My Teaching Philosophy
Many people always asked me, what do you want to be when you grow up? Every time people asked me that question my answer would always change, but then I suddenly became interested in teaching after becoming inspired by my parenting. There are many reasons why I want to be a teacher for instance, there is nothing more rewarding than making a difference in someone’s life.
My parenting teacher Mrs. Barcinas was someone who knew how to capture your attention. Rather than reading from a textbook, she would do activities relating to the lesson, which made it easier to remember. Just like Mrs. Barcinas, I would also like to inspire someone to chase after their dreams.Teachers have the power of changing a person’s life. Growing up as an only child, I did not have anyone to look up to for inspiration. I want to be the person who students can rely on when they are going through hard times. I like the idea that I can be the person who can a student’s life for the better and I want each and every one of my students to succeed. Many people may feel like they are outcast in school, but when they step into my classroom I want my student’s to feel like they belong.
When I graduated high school, I wanted to be a lot of things, but I realized that being a teacher is something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Everything I have learned, I would like to pass it down to my future students.
